When we were first introduce to Bridget and Jumin by our mutual friend Molly, they were described to us as “our kind of people.” Relaxed, slightly off center sense of humor, love of super heroes, novelty and all things nerdy…. yep, our kind of people. Their wedding fit them perfectly.
The day started at Bridget’s hotel room getting ready and watching the sky. This summer it seems to rain every afternoon and this day was no different. Once everyone arrived at the Wedgewood Wedding Center it began to pour. Not a light sprinkle mind you, it came down hard. Bridget and Jumin took it all in stride with a wait and see, optimistic view of the situation. The bride and bridesmaids took over the grooms room for a rousing game of Foosball rather than stressing about the weather. Even the parents were relaxed. Then ten minutes before the ceremony was to begin, the skies cleared up, seats were wiped dry and we went on with the show.
Bridget looked like a Greek Goddess, so beautiful in her flowing dress. While Jumin and his grooms men were rocking a super hero theme from their boutonnieres right down to their socks. The vows were read off their iPhones, which couldn’t have been more perfect. This is a couple who truly knows who they are and goes with it!
Now, this is why we adore Bridget and Jumin: After family formals we always do photos with just the couples. A little quite time before heading back into the rush of excitement. Bridget was twirling around, showing off her stunning dress when she slipped on the wet grass. We panicked! Bridget however, stands up and gives us her best gymnastics finish, while Jumin clapped for her. Both asked if we got photos!
Dinner was overshadowed by a young bear who thought he might join the celebration. The food smelled delicious so we really couldn’t blame him for trying. Who knew it was the catering staffs job to frighten off bears by banging on pans! Little bear took quite a bit of convincing to finally head back up the hill, but guest visiting from other countries headed back home with quite an exciting story to tell.
Take a look through all the photos at the details Bridget and her friend Molly worked so hard on. The bouquets are made of paper flowers which were quite difficult to make. The table numbers, super hero boutonnieres, cake stand and all the little details made this wedding unique and special.
Congratulation Bridget and Jumin – A&D
