When you’re a huge Harry Potter fan and you’re marrying a man whose last name is “Potter,” your wedding theme is kind of a given. I have to commend Charisse and Chris though- it’s very easy to take things too far, and they did a wonderful job of incorporating their love of reading (along with HP of course) in a subtle, elegant way. Candles and old fashioned lanterns added to the ambiance at the Villa Parker. I appreciated that Charisse’s copy of the first Harry Potter book, sitting on their head table, is quite tattered and well loved, showing signs of multiple readings. The couple indulged us in some magical end of the evening shots too- after all, what’s a wedding without a little magic?
Equally magical was the love of their friends and family for this couple, and the love they have for each other. Charisse’s bridesmaids crying through the formal dances, Chris’s friends’ speeches, and the gentle way Charisse supported Chris when he felt a little faint during their ceremony all spoke volumes. We learned through their engagement session how complicated military life can be for them, but we have no doubt even as they drove off to their new home where Chris is stationed just days after their wedding that they will succeed and thrive.
Congratulations again!

Amanda’s still trying to understand the principles of selfies…
Aww. These two finally tied the knot? <3 I love the pics of them blowing the snow. (No matter how I word that it sounds like they have snow blowers involved)
