It’s just wonderful when a couple’s wedding really captures their personality. It becomes so much more than going through the motions, and grows into a true celebration of who they are individually and together. Elizabeth-Ann and Eric’s wedding was just like them- stylish, elegant and a little bit vintage, relaxed and more about the substance than the process, and very family and friend oriented. They kept things intimate with a small ceremony at Cheeseman Park followed by lawn games (and frisbees stuck high in trees!) and dinner at Lala’s Wine Bar. EA’s brother facilitated the ceremony, which involved everyone there to help these two marry one another. My favorite moment from their ceremony was the look on Eric’s daughter’s face when they gave her a special necklace as part of their vows to her and their new family.
Elizabeth-Ann and her family have long been very involved at St. Andrew UMC, so the next day they held a special reception at the church to widen the scope of their celebration. Community is such an important part of a wedding, and weddings are an important part of community- I know it meant a lot to the church members to prepare special choir surprises and help celebrate Elizabeth-Ann and Eric.
We wish you both all the best, and hope you’re having a fabulous time Lindy Hopping your way through Italy! -A&D
