We loved this Colorado garden wedding in all its whimsical, light little details. How lovely all those flower girls in their soft white dresses and pinwheels. How silly they are tossing all their flowers during the ceremony because they forgot to when coming down the aisle and throwing those soft white dresses over their heads to pretend to be ghosts.
Kristin and Dan are the parents of three of those funny little girls, and I loved how much of their day focused on their kids and the family they have built. Their ceremony included special vows to their daughters, tales of the advice Dan’s girls gave him when he and Kristin started dating, and a sand ceremony uniting them as a family.
Their reception was so nice and relaxed. We loved the simple, elegant succulent design on their cake and the herbs they used as their table numbers smelled *so good*. A morning reception with a luncheon let their kid-rich community really be involved in their day. I really believe that weddings are important not just for couples, but for bringing community together, and all the kids dancing, playing with pinwheels, toasting with their apple juice- they got to be a big part of the community that day too.
Congratulations to all five of you! We were so honored to be part of your day! -A&D
