As promised, more from Jen and Zack’s Ten Sleep, Wyoming Wedding! It was so fun to look back through these images this morning. To say Jen and Zack love each other doesn’t even get part way there- their love picks everyone up around them and carries them along. It’s not big or loud, just overwhelmingly true. I spent half my time tearing up at everyone else tearing up, trying desperately to make sure all that love and joy and crazy beautiful scenery would not be forgotten.
Jen and Zack’s wedding was DIY in the best possible way. It was a communal experience all around, like an old-fashioned barn raising, from their attire (sewn by friends and relatives), to flowers and cake, to the little dead bugs in the boutonnieres. They’re real dead bugs- Zack is an entomologist. We also loved their strawberry communion with all the guests during their ceremony- just be sure to eat the stem with the fruit as a reminder of the bitter and the sweet. Zack and Team Groom played card games I still haven’t sorted out before they got ready, and partway through the reception everyone headed up to the overlook to watch the sunset and sing together. Perfect.
The best part? There’s now a tiny Hubercuff running around! Well, not yet running around, just generally newborning around, but you get the point.
Congratulations you guys!
