Yesterday’s weather was an amazing reminder of how beautiful it can be in Colorado. I am soooo ready for spring! Today it’s gloomy and overcast, so I thought I’d share Lauren and Cody’s pretty summer weather as a way to get back to that pre-spring feeling.
Lauren and Cody’s wedding really showed how you can combine your styles as a couple into something that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Lauren has a vintage, lacy style and Cody is an avid home brewer. In fact, he produced 3 different beers for their reception. Lilli Black from Bella Calla worked to bring their two themes into one by adding piles and piles of hops into their decor. I was really surprised at how delicate and elegant hops are. Although, apparently since they are a vine they’re super scratchy to help them climb- poor Lilli and her staff were completely shredded after putting together the arbor.
My favorite thing, though, about this wedding was Lauren and Cody’s friends and family. They love these two so much. You can see it in the way Lauren’s mom hugs Cody, or in how his sister teared up during the ceremony. Ever since their engagement session, seeing how comfortable and loving this couple is together, we knew Lauren and Cody are something special. Meeting their support system made it clear to me that they have a lot of folks on their side, helping them become just as special as they are.
