We’ve been happily anticipating Lauren and Jared’s wedding for a long time! Ever since their event designer, florist, coordinator, and all around crazy-pregnant-lady-rockstar, Lauren Ripko of Quintessential, sent them our way because they wanted things like photos with the dinosaurs and taxidermy, we knew they were our people. Their engagement session, complete with baseball games and a cat in a basket, only confirmed this for us!
Lauren and Jared’s wedding was bright and joyous. The cobalt blue and sunflower yellow really popped against the structural lines and concrete of the museum. It’s an amazing venue for a wedding, and it’s almost overwhelming for photography. There’s City Park and one of the best views of the Denver skyline behind, modern lines and huge curves within, and all the strange bits of museum ephemera in front. Lauren’s dress (and Rachel Teufel of Intricate Icings’ matching dress-inspired cake) with all its stripes went just perfectly.
The whimsy continued with adults acting as the ring bearer and flower girl (I covet her yellow lace dress) and a pub style quiz about the couple during dinner. The man of honor runs a Geeks Who Drink quiz, and he really did an excellent job keeping all the guests engaged. Usually when the ska music starts playing it’s the groom who is up skanking, but no, this time it was Lauren and all those flounces and stripes bouncing away.
So. Much. Fun.
Congratulations again! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for you two next! -A&D
