Salome and Julian specifically requested a non-cliche location for their engagement session- no Red Rocks, no Union Station- which was perfectly fine with us! We love exploring new places too. I’ve always thought that downtown Manitou Springs was adorable and odd; it’s this funky, not-yet-over-touristed, tiny place perfect for an engagement shoot. Plus, they have old fashioned arcade games!
I love this bridge area! If you ignore the lack of water in the creek because of the drought, I think it looks like Italy with the stone walls and tile roofs.

The Black Forest Fire was still going strong when we had their session. In fact, we almost moved it because we weren’t sure of the air quality in Manitou Springs. It was pretty smoky, hence the orange sun well before sunset…
