We love intimate weddings! They’re low stress, more flexible, and each couple is surrounded by only their closest family and friends. Tanya and Brian met us early in the morning for pictures of just the two of them (again, low stress- no one is waiting around to eat for your photos to be finished) and then everyone met at a nearby park for the ceremony.
The couple’s good friend and officiant chose a spot for a really lovely ceremony with the most incredible view- full of bright blue Colorado skies and puffy clouds- where their guests could stand in the shade. Unfortunately, all of the bugs in the entire state had also decided that the shade was a great place to hang out. We could spray down to stop the mosquitoes and flies from biting, but the ginormous spider who decided to attend remained undeterred.
Afterward, a local Italian restaurant hosted a reception luncheon. I really loved the toasts, especially the one given by Tanya’s sisters. One sister began that she was elected to speak because she was the least likely to cry… and then she promptly welled up. It was really adorable and she had a great sense of humor about it, plus it was clear just how happy she was, and everyone was, that these two have found each other.
Congratulations again, we had so much fun with you guys, and we wish you both all the best! -A&D
