Wedding time!
After the rehearsal, Anna and Miao were back over at 103 West for the wedding the next day! They got ready over at the St. Regis Atlanta across the street and with the fine folks at the Van Michael Salon basically next door. Everything in Buckhead was so convenient. (Plus, Anna and Miao know all the best little tricks. Last time I was there they introduced me to OpenTable, this time to Uber. We had a great time talking with the drivers while we tooled around for my mom’s birthday.)
Miao rode the elevator with Sir Anthony Hopkins at the St. Regis, and his visit made photography security a little stringent, but we did manage to grab a couple fun shots!
I swear the girl in this painting is wearing the exact same dress…
Ring bearer bait!
First look…
Love the bridesmaids’ dresses! So classy and different!
Team groom in the bar…
We recently worked with another couple who had a hard time being serious for a few images. A photographer friend, Sarah Fischer, told them to “look at each others’ lips,” which helped this other couple stop laughing for a moment. This is what happened when I tried the same direction with Anna and Miao. Their silliness cannot be contained, and I kinda love them for it.
Cleopatra got some wedding accessories!
Wedding party toasts…
High five from Hobbes! And the little ring bearer was so stinking cute. He came right up to me with this HUGE smile. He ran up so close I couldn’t focus the camera any more!
Hobbes makes a toast…
Serious license business going on here…
Yogurberry has played an important role in the couple’s relationship. We even stopped by for engagement pictures! It only seems right that they were there for the cocktail hour… (Also, they have locations in Boliva, but not Denver? What’s that about?)
No one had any fun at all.
Dinner floor show entertainment…
The couple’s choreographed tango first dance…
No fun at all.
This was one of the greatest bouquet toss catches ever. One of these ladies clearly had a height/trajectory advantage, but the girl in front was not going to let that stop her! You really need to click on the image to see the progression bigger…
Thank you guys again for everything, and congratulations! I hope you really get to enjoy some time off and a honeymoon once everything calms down! Best! -Amanda and Debi
