There are a complicated number of relationships that led to this fun family shoot in Littleton. Our friends and former wedding clients, Jerrod and Danielle, have become very active fundraisers for blood cancer research. Danielle’s father was afflicted with this disease right before their wedding, and they’ve since dedicated an astounding number of races and early mornings to fighting for this cause. We donated a portrait session to a recent auction of theirs, and it was purchased by other good friends of ours, Karen and Ben!
Karen’s sister, Gaby lives in Ecuador, but she had stayed with them for awhile when her daughter, Giovanna, was born. This was the last time I had seen Gio, and now look at her! She’s a rambunctious, silly 4 year old with a budding love of photography. I think she took as many photos as I did that day!
We also got some pictures with Gio, Gaby, and Karen and Ben’s daughter, Catalina. I know how much I appreciate having my cousins around, and I hope these girls get to see lots more of one another as they grow up, even though there is quite a physical distance between them.
Sometimes I even get to play with the babies!
