Oh my goodness, this wedding. Elizabeth and Steven’s personality overflows until everyone around them is adrift in laughter and Elizabeth’s silly faces. She has the greatest glass face- you know exactly how she feels at any given moment- and her super silly joyful smiles break through with absolute crystalline clarity. It’s like a super power, and I’ve been amazed by it ever since their engagement session.
Steve seems more circumspect… until you see him around his friends and his brothers. One of the great joys of post processing for me lately is that I generally don’t get to see what the guys are up to until I’m going through the photos later. (My mom photographs Team Groom at weddings. I don’t get boy jokes- I’m too busy taking myself far too seriously and trying to be contentious, so I never know when the groomsmen are giving me crap.) This set of photos was hilarious to go through, and I’m sure it was wildly inappropriate at the time, too.
We loved all their wedding details, from the 1,000 gold, sparkly wonderful cranes, to tables labeled things like “Ninjas!”, to the sake portion of their wedding ceremony. Their officiant did a great job explaining to every every portion of the ceremony, so it was very personal and interesting.
Congratulations again guys, and I’m so glad that our blog is finally cooperating so you can show off your wedding photos to your non-Facebook friends and family!
