We’re slowly continuing to update our blog after it lost its little mind towards the end of last year. Today, we’re revisiting Sarah and Dave’s Crooked Willow Farms wedding. This was our our first time shooting at Crooked Willow, which was just an amazing, magical space, especially at night with all the twinkle lights. I mean, it has camels. What other wedding venue has camels?
Central to Sarah and Dave’s event was their special relationships with their friends. Although, I quickly learned that these are not the guys that you let run with a silly photo idea… or maybe they are since their brains exploded with questionable ideas to the point where they weren’t able to act on their ideas, just laugh hysterically. Laughter became tears during the toasts quite quickly too- streaming, blubbery, fighting-to-talk-while-sobbing tears… the kind that shows so much pent up love in your heart that it has to be made visible.
Sarah and Dave also really love their dogs- so much that they even brought them to their engagement shoot. Sarah’s sweet, old puppy Jax lost a leg to cancer right after their session and before their wedding. I was so glad we got those engagement photos done beforehand! While it added a lot of stress and worry right before their event, Jax is now doing great, and so far all his scans have been clear
Thanks especially to Jamie from A Touch of Bliss for helping make the day run smoothly and taking some of that stress and worry off Sarah and Dave’s plates! It was also really nice to work with Sue Kimball again, we always love to see her floral creations.
Congratulations again you guys! Good luck with your search for the perfect spot for Dave’s brewery, your puppy’s continued good health, and a much needed honeymoon!
Sarah and Dave’s completed album- we know our new couples like to see what a full wedding looks like!
